Here are potential dates we are considering for the big day, likely marrying on a Saturday afternoon. Please check all dates you are probably available to join us (if the box isn't checked, we'll assume you cannot make it that weekend). Note that weather during all of these dates is about 75 degrees during the day and the cheapest travel months in Hawaii are September, November and April.
2009
Sat, Sept 5 - Mon, Sept 7 (Labor Day Weekend)
Sat, Nov 6 – Sun, Nov 8 (higher waves on some beaches)
2010
Sat, March 13 – Mon, March 15 (Spring Break)
Sat, March 20 – Mon, March 22 (Spring Break)
Sat, April 10 – Mon, April 12
Sat, April 17 – Mon, April 19
Sorry, but I don't think I can travel for your wedding
are there any reasons why you would prefer one date vs another?:
We're thinking of renting out a house that sleeps many people and in the most ideal situation, we would get married in the backyard. This would keep lodging costs down since you could stay at the house for about $50/night as opposed to a hotel cost, plus we could have big meals for everyone there. If we do this, where would you want to stay?
In the house with everyone
I'd rather stay in a hotel nearby
whatever works – I don't have a preference
Part of our reason for wanting to get married in Hawaii is that at weddings you see each other for such a short time. Our hope is that over the few days, we can spend time with loved ones. That means May-Ling will be exercising her planning skills and organizing some activities. Aside from the ceremony on Saturday, would you be interested in joining us for other activities?
I'm in for most of the fun
I'll come along for one or two things
Thanks, but I'd rather plot out my own vacation
